Application of Metal Double-Sheet Detection Technology in BYD Blade Batteries
In August 2018 a major project landed here — Bishan District signed a 20 GWh per year battery project with BYD. Construction began in 2019 and in March 2020 BYD released the Blade battery. Before Blade battery production, BYD's cells mainly used winding.

The Bishan facility adopted stacking for Blade batteries with a stacking speed of 0.3s/pc, requiring a detector to identify overlapping electrodes at high speed.
After industry tests and one month of on-line trials, Atonm's Metal Double-Sheet Detector was adopted at BYD's Bishan battery plant. Over a year of production use confirmed the detector's precision and reliability, solving scrap caused by overlapping sheets.
