Provincial Auto Industry Research Tour | Atonm Engages with the Automotive Supply Chain, Empowering Smart Manufacturing through Sensors

On September 29, 2025, Atonm was invited to join the Guangdong Automotive Industry Association on a site visit to Guangzhou JFE Steel Co., Ltd. The team also held in-depth exchanges and learning sessions with multiple companies, including GAC Dihara Mold & Pressing Co., Ltd. and Mingtai Fu (Guangzhou) Metal Products Co., Ltd., focusing on collaborative development across the automotive industry.

As a high-tech enterprise focused on industrial sensors and industry-specific controllers, Atonm’s core business covers six major product series—including metal double-sheet detectors, magnetic scale read heads, color sensors, and laser displacement sensors—along with supporting industry solutions. These products are widely applied across sectors such as automotive, auto parts, lithium batteries, and 3C electronics. The purpose of this visit was to learn from leading companies’ practices in high-precision production control and industry chain collaboration, aiming to further enhance the industry adaptability and technical service capabilities of Atonm’s industrial sensor products.

During the research visit, the Atonm team conducted an in-depth tour of the production site at Guangzhou JFE Steel Co., gaining a comprehensive understanding of the entire automotive steel workflow—from raw material processing to finished product output. The team focused on the company’s high-precision production control system, flexible production adjustment mechanisms, and end-to-end quality management measures. They also studied the modular setup of testing projects and the full-lifecycle data traceability system in the company’s in-house testing laboratory. These hands-on insights provided valuable guidance for Atonm to optimize product parameter adaptability, enhance workflow integration, and iteratively improve detection efficiency and data output standardization for its products.

During the discussion session, Atonm highlighted its automotive stamping line dual-sheet detection solution— the metal dual-sheet detector—tailored to automotive industry scenarios. This product features excellent stability, high reliability, and rapid response, accurately identifying double-sheet feed issues in automated material handling and effectively preventing equipment damage and product quality problems during stamping processes. It has already been deployed at scale with multiple leading automakers, significantly enhancing production line stability and efficiency. In addition, Atonm engaged in in-depth exchanges with attending companies on solution adaptation and optimization under different operating conditions, providing fresh momentum for future solution iterations and industry collaboration.

This visit not only provided Atonm with first-hand insights into optimizing industrial sensor applications in automotive manufacturing scenarios but also established an efficient communication channel with upstream and downstream enterprises in the automotive industry chain.
