How does the double-sheet detector work?

Metal Double-Sheet Detector operates on the principle of electromagnetism similar to the Oersted effect. The transmitter probe (T) generates a magnetic field driven by a high-frequency AC signal; the receiver probe (R) senses the field and produces an electrical signal. When material passes through the field between T and R, the received signal varies with the shielding area and thickness of the metal, allowing the controller to determine whether a single or multiple sheets are present.

Application Areas of Single/Double-Sheet Detection Sensors

Metal Double-Sheet Detectors and double-sheet sensors are widely used in automated feeding stages across industries. Typical applications include automated feeding, stamping, bending and cutting of metal parts for household appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines and dishwashers; metal can and lid manufacturing; and other hardware stamping processes. Used with slitting machines, stamping presses, robotic feeders and coating machines, these detectors prevent multiple sheets from entering dies and protect equipment from damage and production loss.
