Automated Feeding Detection in Industry: Importance and Necessity of Double-sheet Detection

Double-sheet Detection Controller consists of a terminal and sensors. Sensors are fixed to the machine structure or conveyor and send detection signals to the terminal in real time. The terminal analyzes overlap degree; if overlap is confirmed, it sends a signal to the PLC so the overlapped metal sheet can be ejected, ensuring normal machine operation.

For example, manufacturers of tinplate know that a protective oil layer exists on the surface. During feeding before printing or coating, overlapping of two or more tinplate sheets may occur, causing misregistration, jams and damage to rubber rollers.
