Double-Sheet Detection Controller: Solving Double-Sheet Issues in Automated Metal Sheet Feeding

Metal Double-Sheet Detector is a sensor-based detection device for double-sheet problems in automated metal sheet feeding. The system consists of a detection main unit and sensors, with the main unit as the control core and the sensors as the detection elements.

Working principle:

    The transmitter probe contains a coil (transmit side) driven by a high-frequency alternating signal to produce a magnetic field; the receiver probe contains a coil (receive side) that senses the field and generates an electrical signal. When a metal sheet is inserted between the transmitter and receiver probes, the metal partially shields the magnetic flux; thicker sheets produce stronger shielding. As a result, the mutual inductance decreases and the induced voltage becomes smaller; the more sheets inserted, the smaller the mutual inductance and induced voltage.

Function:

Detect multiple-sheet feeding of metal thin sheets during the feed process. When multiple sheets (double or more) are detected, the system issues an alarm and triggers the control mechanism to prevent damage to metalworking equipment.

The metal double-sheet detector offers high reliability and stability, using the MultisCom optimized algorithm, anti-interference circuitry and patented full-metal housing design. It is material-agnostic and supports self-learning for stainless steel, aluminum, iron, copper and other metals. Wide detection range: 0.05–40 mm. Setup is simple with one-button dynamic self-learning that does not require material selection.
