How Stacking Machines Handle Double-Feed in the Loading System
Double-feed is a common issue in stacking machine feeders. Metal double-sheet detectors can be used to detect and prevent overlapping sheets.
1. Working principle
Electromagnetic induction: the detector's transmitter (T) and receiver (R) form a magnetic field; the received signal varies with shielding area and thickness, allowing the controller to distinguish single vs. multiple sheets.
Signal processing: when multiple sheets are detected, the device immediately signals the host controller.
Real-time feedback: ensures smooth feeding and prevents damaged dies or wasted material.
2. Installation
Install detectors at key points such as feed outlets or machine inlets.
3. Detection capability
Detects sheets as thin as 0.01 mm and supports aluminum, copper and steel.
4. Alarm and interlock
On double-feed detection, trigger alarm and stop feeding or activate separation mechanisms.
5. Data logging
Record detection events for analysis and process optimization.
Using metal double-sheet detectors significantly reduces double-feed problems, improving production efficiency and product quality.
