The client needed a solution to detect whether glue adheres to stainless steel. This is challenging as the glue is milky white and may resemble stainless steel under some conditions, and the detection aperture is small requiring high precision.

We proposed the Atonm Color Sensor CL1 for detection. The CL1 supports 8 preset colors and 1 user-definable color, fitting the clients scenario. The sensor was installed on the production line to monitor a specific position on stainless steel; when glue appears in the detection zone, the sensor quickly identifies the milky white glue.

We optimized sensor parameters and algorithms to improve accuracy and stability under varied lighting, ensuring reliable, high-speed detection on production lines.
