Imported Color Sensor Replacement: Atonm Color Sensor Detects Film on Transparent Bottles

The client is a Shenzhen-based intelligent equipment manufacturer and a listed company, integrating R&D, production and sales of intelligent equipment systems. They provide efficient, stable and intelligent industrial equipment and solutions to global customers.

2. Project Requirements

The client needs to identify whether transparent bottles have a film applied and also recognize two bottle colors. They previously used a Keyence LR-WR500 sensor but want a domestic replacement. Since bottles are transparent and the film is semi-transparent with color, ordinary photoelectric sensors struggle to detect it.

3. Solution

After multiple tests, engineers selected the Atonm Color Sensor CL2 as the replacement. The CL2 detects color and light intensity using RGB illumination and multi-channel computation to accurately detect subtle color differences. It supports color mode and light-intensity mode, making it suitable for complex scenarios.
