Atonm Color Sensor for Seatbelt Color Detection and Cutting Positioning

Project Requirement

A well-known automaker produces interior parts (seatbelts) with logos whose color is similar to the belt. The customer needs a color sensor that can detect slight color differences to locate and trigger cutting. They found us via web search.
Solution

After understanding the customer use case and conditions, we requested samples for testing. We recommended the CL1 color recognition sensor with CLH-L40 color sensor probe. After teach-in and testing, when the belt passes under the color sensor probe, the sensor recognizes the logo color and outputs a signal to trigger the cutting action.

The CL1 series color sensor from Atonm is used to automatically detect small color differences on seatbelts, improving detection efficiency and production throughput. Thanks to its high measurement resolution, Atonm color sensors can distinguish subtle color differences that are difficult for the human eye, reducing manual checks and preventing incorrect cuts and material waste.
