Magnetic Scale Read Head | Stroke Measurement for Stamping Presses
Project Background:
A Guangdong hardware stamping factory lacked stroke measurement on small presses, causing inconsistent forming force and part defects. They needed position feedback to adjust press behavior when changing dies.
Challenge:
Harsh environment with metal debris and heavy vibration requires a durable displacement sensor and simple commissioning for limited on-site staff.
Solution:
(Atonm MRR-H500 Magnetic Scale Read Head + magnetic tape)
Install the read head on the press and attach magnetic tape to the ram. As the ram moves, the read head outputs pulse signals to the controller, enabling precise stroke measurement and improved control. Customers reported high stability and ease of use compared with alternatives.
