Project Background:

3C product labels are common in electronics packaging and are applied automatically in high volumes. A Shenzhen automatic labeling machine manufacturer encountered frequent double-feed of label sheets on the conveyor, and customers required accurate single vs. double-sheet detection.

No gap in conveyor joints: the production line uses seamless green belts without gaps, so through-beam detectors cannot be installed in a gap.

Solution:

Because of thickness constraints, sensor precision is key. The Atonm LD1-H030 laser displacement sensor mounts above the label conveyor; as label sheets pass below, the sensor measures distance. Single vs. double sheets produce different distances, enabling detection.
