In the stamping production process of automotive parts, the customer's production line is responsible for stamping galvanized sheets into various parts. However, during production, sheet overlapping issues occur when feeding galvanized sheets.
The sheet overlapping problem has brought many serious impacts on the customer's production. When galvanized sheets overlap, the dimensions and shapes of the stamped automotive parts will deviate, failing to meet quality standards. This results in a large number of defective products and increases production costs. Meanwhile, sheet overlapping may also cause damage to stamping equipment, leading to downtime for maintenance. This not only delays the production schedule but also further increases maintenance costs and losses caused by production suspension. Therefore, solving the sheet overlapping problem has become an urgent key challenge for the customer.
The material used by the customer is galvanized sheet with a thickness ranging from 0.4mm to 0.5mm. For galvanized sheets of this thickness, high precision is required for double-sheet detection during the stamping process, and a device capable of accurately detecting double-sheet or multi-sheet overlapping is needed.
In response to the customer's problems and material characteristics, we provided the customer with the Atonm through-beam metal double-sheet detector MDSC-900E. This detector adopts advanced through-beam sensing technology, which can quickly and accurately detect the overlapping situation during galvanized sheet feeding. The working principle of the Atonm metal double-sheet detector is to judge whether there is double-sheet or multi-sheet overlapping of galvanized sheets by detecting the signal change between the transmitting end and the receiving end. When sheet overlapping is detected, the device will immediately send an alarm signal to remind operators to handle the problem in a timely manner, effectively avoiding defective product production and equipment damage caused by sheet overlapping.
Improved Product Quality
After the Atonm Metal Double-Sheet Detector MDSC-900E was put into operation, the sheet overlapping issue has been effectively resolved. The defective product rate has dropped significantly, which greatly improves the quality of automotive parts. This not only reduces customer complaints and product returns caused by quality problems, but also enhances the customer's competitiveness in the market.
Reduced Equipment Maintenance Costs
By preventing stamping equipment damage due to sheet overlapping, the frequency of equipment maintenance has been substantially reduced. This not only saves a large amount of equipment repair costs, but also extends the service life of the equipment and lowers equipment replacement costs.
Enhanced Production Efficiency
In the past, frequent production downtime and defective product disposal caused by sheet overlapping seriously disrupted the production schedule. Now, the production line can operate continuously and stably, leading to a significant increase in production efficiency and bringing greater economic benefits to the customer.
