Color Recognition Case | Ningbo Bearing Manufacturer 3C Production Line Application
Project Background
A Ningbo bearing company manufactures miniature bearings and accessories. During production, it is necessary to distinguish front and back faces; the inner ring has two different colors—pink for the front and silver for the back.
Project Objective
Objective: Correctly identify bearing orientation and ensure the front face is upward.
Solution
Atonm selected the intelligent digital Color Sensor CL1 with probe CLH-L41. The probe mounts beside the conveyor; when a part passes, the sensor reads the inner ring color—pink outputs a pass signal indicating front-up; otherwise no signal indicates back-up.
After two weeks of trials, the customer reported stable performance and high detection accuracy. The Color Sensor improves efficiency and reduces labor cost, supporting automation.
