Project Background
The customer specializes in precision 2D/3D transfer robots and stamping transfer manipulators, aiming to improve line efficiency and quality. The project was to build an automated line for automotive window lift motor housings.
Requirements
The main material is 0.5mm stainless steel and the customer needed to prevent stacked sheets entering the press, which can damage dies and cause quality issues. A reliable metal double-sheet detection solution was required.
Solution
We recommended the Atonm MDSC-900E metal double-sheet detector with round probe. The sensor offers high sensitivity and reliability for accurate single/double-sheet detection.

The MDSC-900E is installed at the feed port to monitor incoming sheets; if double sheets are detected the detector immediately alarms to prevent entry into the press.
