Background
The customer is a home appliance manufacturer upgrading its production line to meet rising demands for quality and efficiency. To prevent quality defects or equipment damage caused by material stacking during production, the company opted to introduce a metal double-sheet detection system to increase automation.
Solution
The production materials are mainly stainless steel plates with thickness from 0.3 to 1.0 mm and a modest feeding speed. Engineers recommended the economical MDSC-900E metal double-sheet detector. The Atonm metal double-sheet detector can quickly identify material state on each feed. High-precision sensors monitor feeding in real time; when double or multiple sheets are detected, the system immediately outputs an alarm signal to the PLC, which triggers preconfigured handling procedures to resolve the issue.
Implementation
1. System installation: The Atonm metal double-sheet detector was installed at key feeding points and integrated with the PLC.
2. On-site testing: Tests verified detection effectiveness and response speed to ensure stability in production.
