Project background
The customer is a high-tech cookware company focused on R&D, design, manufacturing and sales of aluminum and stainless-steel cookware. Their stamping line faced overlap issues during feeding, causing material waste and potential die damage. They needed an effective solution to ensure accurate and efficient feeding.
Solution
To improve efficiency and reduce waste, we recommended installing the through-beam MDSC-900E double-sheet detector on the stamping line. This sensor provides high-precision object detection to identify and prevent multi-layer feeding.

Double-sheet detection: MDSC-900E quickly detects materials and outputs single-sheet or double-sheet signals to the host, which then takes appropriate actions to ensure only single-layer material enters the stamping process.
High stability: the sensor's advanced sensing technology offers strong anti-interference performance and high stability suitable for typical stamping environments.
Real-time feedback: when overlap is detected the sensor immediately alerts equipment to adjust feeding and maintain line operation.
By installing the MDSC-900E the customer can monitor feeding quality in real time, reduce material loss and extend die life.
Customer benefits
1. Reduced material waste: effective overlap detection lowers material loss and cost.
2. Improved efficiency: resolving overlap reduces stoppages and adjustment time, increasing throughput.
3. Die protection: the sensor reduces die damage risk and maintenance costs.
4. Data tracking: sensor installation enables real-time monitoring and analysis for continuous improvement.
