MDSC-9000S Case — Stacking Detection on Automotive Parts Stamping Line
Project Background
The customer is a manufacturer of automotive parts. Their stamping line previously used a German brand for sheet stacking detection. To reduce cost, they sought a domestic replacement.
Solution
Knowing the stamping materials are steel/aluminum mix up to 3mm thick, we recommended the Atonm MDSC-9000S. The MDSC-9000S series is a top-tier single-probe "1-to-2" Metal Double-Sheet Detector with performance comparable to German brands. It supports magnetic and non-magnetic materials, stores up to 200 material profiles, and supports Profinet, 485, IO and other communication methods for intelligent control.
After testing the product on the line, the customer purchased and deployed it. Over six months the MDSC-9000S performed stably with no misses or false alarms, achieving cost reduction and earning customer praise.
