Metal Double-Sheet Detector Case — Tinplate (Mooncake Box) Flange Positioning Stamping

Project Background

The customer is an automation equipment vendor for tinplate packaging (mooncake box) production. The flange fold area of tinplate boxes needs positioning by sensor before stamping; otherwise the stamping die may be damaged. Previous solutions were unsatisfactory and the customer sought a replacement.

 

Solution

The MDSC-900E detects overlapping metal sheets with high precision. When the box flange enters the sensor range, the controller recognizes a double-sheet and outputs a signal to locate the flange; the box stops and the conveyor feeds it to the stamping station. The detector is stable and reliable for long-term industrial operation, ensuring line continuity.

 

Using MDSC-900E, the customer solved the flange positioning issue for tinplate boxes, improving efficiency and product quality.
