Composition: magnetic scale, magnetic read head and detection circuitry.
Maintenance tips: do not scratch the magnetic tape; avoid strong impacts on the magnetic scale and read head to prevent magnetic weakening or field disturbance; distinguish excitation and output windings on the read head when wiring.
2. Optical Incremental Encoder
Maintenance tips: protect against vibration and contamination (internal looseness and signal loss); loose connections affect position accuracy, unstable feed motion and may cause servo motor oscillation.
3. Resolver
(1) Output voltage has a fixed function relationship with rotor angular displacement and is used as an angle measurement element.
(2) Maintenance tips:
Do not interchange stator and rotor connections if resistances differ; replace worn carbon brushes in time.

4. Inductive Synchro
(1) A high-precision displacement detection element based on electromagnetic induction.
Composition: rectangular windings on the fixed and sliding scales.
(2) Maintenance tips:
Ensure parallel alignment between fixed and sliding scales during installation;
Avoid damaging the cutting-fluid-resistant coating and insulated foil;
Distinguish SIN and COS windings when wiring the sliding scale.
