How Do Color Sensors Recognize Colors?
Color sensors detect object color by receiving light reflected or transmitted from the target. Common methods include:
1. RGB sensors: measure intensities of red, green, and blue components in reflected light and analyze their ratios to determine color.
2. Spectral sensors: measure a wider spectral range to obtain richer color information for more precise identification.
3. Chroma sensors: measure coordinates on the CIE chromaticity diagram to represent color numerically.
Whether using RGB, spectral, or chroma sensors, the devices convert optical measurements into digital signals for processing and analysis, enabling accurate color recognition.
