Principles of Electric Valve Encoder
An electric valve encoder is a key non-contact rotary angle measurement device used in valve control systems. It converts valve rotation into digital signals to provide accurate position feedback for precise and stable control. Encoders also assist in fault detection and diagnostics by supplying reliable alarm and control information to ensure safe operation.
The working principle includes establishing a reference zero, measuring rotation, and converting rotation to digital signals. The zero position is usually the fully closed valve. As the valve rotates, internal sensors based on magnetic, optical, or Hall-effect technologies detect angle changes and convert them via digital converters for controller use.
Electric valve encoders offer high accuracy, fast response, dust and water resistance due to non-contact sensing, and low maintenance needs—reducing operational costs.
In summary, electric valve encoders play a vital role in industrial control by providing precise measurement and stable control that support safe and reliable system operation.
