Working Principle and Applications of Metal Single/Dual-Sheet Detection Sensors

Metal double-sheet detection sensors are widely used in industrial production and automation to intelligently identify whether metal sheets are single or overlapped. These sensors provide reliable single/dual-sheet detection in many industrial processes.

 Dual-Sheet Detector

These sensors use magnetic induction: they generate a magnetic field and detect changes when a metal object approaches, enabling single/dual-sheet recognition.

 

Applications for dual-sheet detectors include automotive, auto parts, metal coating, can making, printing, metal packaging, home appliances, hardware stamping, robotic pick-and-place systems, and lithium battery stacking, tab welding, PCB blanking, and board loading equipment. They are commonly used on automated stamping lines to ensure robots pick single sheets and avoid overlapped sheets entering the press, which would damage dies and waste material.
