How Color Sensors and Mark Sensors Work
Atonm mark sensors/color recognition sensors have been developed in multiple models to meet market needs. Color sensors and mark sensors are widely used on automated production lines. This article explains how these sensors work and their operating principles.
CL1 High-precision Color Sensor
1. Accurately detects various colors and marks, suitable for many scenarios;
2. Can be paired with sensor heads for extended detection distance.

CL2 Intelligent Color Recognition Sensor
Simultaneously detects up to four colors; can store eight colors for one-time recognition; can detect arbitrary colors.

Color sensor characteristics:
- Automatically synthesizes the required illumination source and performs stable color detection;
- Smart digital sensitivity settings for quick configuration;
- Compact size with multi-digit display for clear readout;
- High precision and fast response (200 μs);
- Multiple detection modes; can store up to 8 reference colors;
- Flexible functionality and multiple sensing head options for broad applications.
Powerful and simple to configure, CL3 is suitable for straightforward color detection needs and can detect various marks and colors.
