Color Sensor Case | Bamboo Chopstick Production Inspection in Shenzhen

Project Background:

Bamboo chopsticks have outer and inner surfaces that require different processing; detection is needed to determine which surface is present.

Project Objective:

Detect whether the outer surface or inner surface is present and output a signal to trigger flip mechanisms.

Solution:

We used Atonm CL1-N3S1 Color Sensor + F-RP110 coaxial fiber with two-point learning to distinguish outer and inner surfaces. The C-I mode (color + intensity) leverages color and reflectance differences to improve separation.

When the inner surface is the target color, the red channel value exceeds the green channel and a signal is output; when the outer surface is detected the reverse holds and no signal is output. Customers praised the sensor for stable performance.
