The client is a comprehensive enterprise integrating multiple businesses such as injection molding, 3C electronics, and hardware processing. Its business model is mainly equipment leasing, providing professional processing equipment and services for numerous manufacturing enterprises. In a recently undertaken hardware processing (chamfering) project, the client was confronted with intractable production problems.
This hardware processing project required chamfering iron sheets with a width of 400mm, length of 500mm, and thickness of approximately 1mm, using a manipulator feeding method. However, in actual production, the occurrence of double-sheet feeding would lead to a sharp increase in the defective rate, seriously compromising production efficiency and product quality. As the client had never used similar detection products before, it had no idea how to accurately detect double iron sheets, and was in urgent need of a reliable solution to resolve this critical issue.
After in-depth research and analysis, we recommended the Atonm Metal Double-Sheet Detector MDSC-1200C to the client. Hardware Deployment Solution
Host Installation: With dimensions of 132mm × 116mm × 48mm and a mounting hole size of 121mm × 105mm, it can be embedded in the panel of the manipulator control cabinet without occupying additional space.
Sensor Layout: The transmitting (T) and receiving (R) sensors are installed on both sides of the manipulator's material grabbing port respectively, covering the detection range of 400mm × 500mm iron sheets. The 5-meter cable length meets the equipment spacing requirements.
Power Supply and Communication: Powered by DC24V, it has a built-in 485 communication module that can connect to a touch screen to display detection data in real time (including single/double-sheet status, counting, etc.).
Quality Improvement: Defective products caused by double iron sheets have been completely eliminated, and the product qualification rate has stabilized above 99%.
Efficiency Breakthrough: The detection response speed reaches 1,200 sheets per minute, matching the high-frequency feeding rhythm of the manipulator and increasing production capacity by 30%.
