Application of Atonm Metal Double-Sheet Detector MDSC-8500S in the PCB Industry

I. Project Background

In the modern packaging industry, ensuring packaging tightness is a crucial step to guarantee product quality. Especially in the bottle cap production process, overlapping gaskets during installation will directly affect the product's sealing performance, which may lead to product damage or quality degradation. Therefore, single-and-double-sheet detection of bottle cap gaskets is particularly important.

II. Working Condition Analysis

In this case, the diameter of the involved bottle caps is 50 mm, and the production line feeding speed reaches 80 pcs/min. Although this speed can ensure production efficiency, it also poses challenges to detection precision. How to ensure that each bottle cap is properly fitted with the right gasket while maintaining high-speed production has become a difficult problem for the customer.

III. Solution

To meet the above requirements, we provided the customer with a dedicated solution for single-and-double-sheet detection of aluminum foil gaskets: the Atonm Double-Sheet Detector MDSC-900E paired with a square probe.

Featuring high precision and high speed, the equipment can monitor the gasket status of each bottle cap in real time. When the sensor detects overlapping or missing gaskets, the system will promptly trigger an alarm, ensuring that non-conforming products are prevented from entering the next process.

Through this technical solution, we have successfully improved both the production line efficiency and product qualification rate.
