Project Background
The customer is a medical device manufacturer that needs to sort four colors of perforated plastic baskets: pink, white, yellow, and blue. Basket size is 40mm x 30mm x 6mm, and the black background line runs at 120 baskets per minute. Given the variety and high speed, a high performance color recognition solution is required.
Line Analysis
At high line speed, traditional color recognition faces accuracy and real time challenges. A high performance color sensor is therefore essential. The right solution improves sorting accuracy and reduces errors, stabilizing the process.

Atonm engineers tailored an automatic sorting solution based on the Atonm color sensor CL2 with L40 color probe.
