Stainless-iron Double-Sheet Detection | Atonm Solution for Thick Sheets

Project background: A parts subcontractor faced unreliable double-sheet detection for uncommon "stainless-iron" materials (≥3.0mm). Existing detectors failed to provide stable identification for thick, low-magnetic materials.

Solution:

Atonm developed a specialized double-sheet detection solution—upgraded hardware and algorithms—to reliably detect stainless-iron sheets. The controller and square probe sensors are installed above the conveyor and integrate with PLC to handle detected double sheets by reversing the belt and reprocessing pieces.
