Atonm Intelligent Dual-Sheet Detection Sensor Applied on Hardware Stamping Lines

Customer Profile:

The customer is a Guangdong-based robot manufacturer. They took a project to raise production automation and use robots to feed metal sheets and identify single vs. double sheets. They approached us for a solution to improve production efficiency.

Challenges:

The customer’s sheet size is about 400 × 500mm with ~1mm thickness, and accurate single/double detection is required to ensure the robot feeds single sheets into the press and avoid double or multiple sheets entering the stamping die. The customer had no prior experience with such detectors and faced implementation challenges.

Solution:

Atonm provided an intelligent dual-sheet detection solution. Our engineers recommended an efficient system — the MDSC-900E. The system uses magnetic induction to quickly analyze passing sheets and accurately distinguish single from double sheets.

Result:

After testing, the intelligent dual-sheet detector MDSC-900E was successfully applied on the customer’s hardware stamping line. The MDSC-900E reliably and stably detected overlapping sheets, helping the customer achieve smarter and more efficient production. The customer was satisfied and optimistic about future cooperation.
